Our client is a prominent global healthcare and real asset owner with its Australian headquarters in Melbourne. It focuses on acquiring, managing, and developing a diverse portfolio of healthcare assets, including hospitals, clinics, senior living facilities, and medical office buildings, as well as real estate investments in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
The M&A Manager will be responsible for leading and executing mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships within the organisation. The preferred candidate will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive growth, innovation, and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end M&A transactions, including identifying targets, conducting due diligence, negotiating terms, and executing deals.
- Manage external advisors such as legal, financial, and tax consultants.
- Oversee financial modeling, valuations, and integration planning.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and strategic alliances.
- Develop and implement M&A strategies that align with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define the strategic vision for M&A activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with external parties, including investment bankers, legal teams, and consultants.
- Coordinate and conduct due diligence efforts to assess operational, legal, and financial risks.
- Identify synergies and post-acquisition value drivers.
- Oversee post-acquisition integration efforts to ensure smooth transitions and achievement of strategic goals.
- Develop integration plans and monitor post-merger performance.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or management consulting.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and corporate finance principles.
