Our client is widely recognised for its global expertise in project finance, particularly in large-scale infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects. Their project finance division is highly regarded for providing comprehensive, tailored financing solutions for both public and private sector projects. The bank has extensive experience in structuring complex, long-term financing for projects ranging from renewable energy and infrastructure to oil and gas.
Responsibilities
Transaction Structuring and Analysis:
- Lead or support the structuring of complex project finance transactions, including the development of financial models, conducting risk assessments, and determining financing requirements.
- Analyse the financial viability of projects, assessing their risks, returns, and capital structure (debt vs. equity).
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (legal, risk, credit, and compliance teams) to ensure that the proposed structure meets regulatory and internal risk criteria.
Financial Modeling and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess project feasibility, cash flow projections, debt servicing, and equity returns.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and investment memoranda for senior management and the bank’s credit committee.
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of funded projects, ensuring compliance with the agreed-upon covenants and terms.
Risk Management and Credit Assessment:
- Assess and manage the risks associated with project financing, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and geopolitical risks.
- Ensure that risk assessments are integrated into transaction structuring and that all potential risks are mitigated appropriately.
- Monitor and report on the ongoing risks associated with existing projects in the bank’s portfolio.
Project Financing Execution:
- Assist in the execution of financing deals, coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth closing of transactions.
- Oversee the disbursement of funds and monitor the project’s progress to ensure that milestones and timelines are met.
- Provide continuous support throughout the life cycle of the project, ensuring compliance with financing terms and addressing any issues that arise.
