Deputy Chief Financial Officer

Our client, a global and very successful non-bank lender, wish to appoint a Deputy CFO. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior finance specialist to join our clients' dynamic leadership team and play key role in driving the firm's financial strategy, operations, and growth. The Deputy CFO will support the CFO in managing the financial health of the organisation, ensuring financial startegy aligns with company's business goals, and overseeing financial operations and performance. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of financial management, statutory accounts, tax audits, strategy, and leadership within the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning:

• Collaborate with the CFO to develop and execute the firm’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead the preparation and analysis of the annual budget, long-term financial forecasts, and cash flow management.
• Advise on financial trends, market conditions, and the potential impact on company performance.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Review and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Leadership & Team Management:

• Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability within the finance department.
• Assist in driving continuous improvements in processes and systems across the finance function.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with external auditors, regulators, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance and transparency in financial activities.
• Act as a liaison between the CFO and other senior management teams to ensure effective communication and alignment with corporate goals.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support:

• Assist in M&A strategy, including due diligence, financial modelling, and integration planning.
