Our client is a prominent investor specialising in infrastructure assets, with a focus on long-term, stable investments in critical sectors such as transportation, energy, utilities, and telecommunications. Their investment strategy emphasizes value creation through operational improvements, strategic partnerships, and a deep understanding of market dynamics and regulatory environments.
Analyst Responsibilities
Investment Sourcing & Deal Execution:
- Identifying potential infrastructure assets for investment, often through market research, industry networking, or broker relationships.
- Performing due diligence to evaluate potential investments, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and structuring deals.
- Building financial models to assess investment viability, returns, and risks.
- Assisting in negotiating terms with sellers and structuring complex deals.
- Conducting valuation analysis and preparing investment memos.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitoring the performance of infrastructure assets in the portfolio, ensuring they are managed efficiently.
- Analyzing operational and financial performance to recommend strategic actions, including refinancing, asset optimization, and potential divestitures.
- Collaborating with senior leadership and portfolio company management teams to drive value creation in investments.
Exit Strategy and Execution:
- Identifying exit opportunities, such as sales to other private equity firms, public offerings, or secondary market transactions.
- Preparing for exit by optimizing the value of the asset, including financial restructuring or operational improvements.
Reporting and Presentations:
- Preparing presentations and reports for internal stakeholders, including senior executives and investors, to communicate the status of deals and portfolio performance.
- Keeping investors informed on market trends, deal flow, and economic factors impacting infrastructure investments.
Industry Research and Market Trends:
- Staying informed about trends in infrastructure markets, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that could impact the investment landscape.
