James graduated from the University of Leeds and trained as a commercial pilot before pivoting to recruitment. In 2013, he began his recruitment career in London with Dartmouth Partners, focusing on investment banking and credit funds. He then moved to Hinton Rose, specialising in EMEA recruitment for alternative investment strategies. In 2021, James joined Alastair and his team at East Partnership in Australia.
